What's more festive than some good ole' family photos, in your grandparents' Christmas sweaters?! Hope everyone has had a wonderful and blessed Christmas Day with your loved ones. From "our big happy family" to yours, have a very merry Christmas!
One of our favorite things is having couples tell us how much they love and adore our work, so when Nanditha told us that Kiran literally said, "Stop looking, we are going with Shadow|Shine" when she showed him our work, we definitely blushed.
Our first time officially meeting these two was a few short weeks before their gorgeous Indian wedding, over a lovely cup of Starbucks. We talked about everything from how the two of them met, to the long journey of wedding planning that only brought the two of them closer together, to every beautiful detail of their wedding weekend. We only met for an hour or so, but after leaving it felt as if we were old, dear friends with these two amazingly sweet and kind people.
And we could not have asked for a more breathtaking Indian wedding as our final one of the 2014 season. From Nanditha's beautiful bridal colors, to the gorgeous U of M campus that served as their backdrop, this was an incredible wedding weekend to take part in. It's the kind of weekend that you feel exhausted after filming, but so happy and thrilled that you had the honor of sharing in it - and with a couple like Nanditha and Kiran, how couldn't you?!
We are so very thankful for these two, and appreciate their love and support for our art so incredibly much. They are gorgeous together inside and out and this trailer only skims the surface of the depth of their Love. Take a moment to fall in love with these two like we have!
It’s #FashionFriday! That’s a thing, right? Well we're going to make it a thing for at least this week.
One thing we love about living in a city like Grand Rapids is that there is such a focus and emphasis on community that it isn't hard to walk out your door and connect with others in your area that are passionate and driven to help further build the culture of GR. Be that through advancements in the arts, medicine, or commerce; Grand Rapids is a community of people-focused individuals who love working together. It’s what makes it “home” for us.
So naturally when the creators and visionaries behind the West Michigan Style magazine approached us about capturing behind the scenes for their latest issue, the 2014 2015 Winter collection, we were totally on board. Their fun and energetic team works so hard at bringing so many wonderful members from our community together to help create a product that readers can fall in love with, and it totally shows. From the moment we walked on set with them we could just tell that it was going to be a fantastic day - not to mention we were able to catch up with our friends at Kelly Braman Photography!
This issue focused on the idea of how to stay active and engaged in the greater Grand Rapids area, taking advantage of all the things Grand Rapids has to offer during the winter season. From unique and thoughtfully designed active and life wear, to an evening out on the town, the team at West Michigan Style has put together an amazing Winter Issue for their readers to engage with.
We love it. We love Grand Rapids too. It’s a pretty cool place.

You know that kind of love where once you've experienced it you feel really happy and excited? Well thats the kind of love that Amanda+Andrew just immanent! We first started connecting with Amanda way back in mid-summer of last year and after meeting them a couple weeks later we knew these two were one of those wonderfully sweet and humble couples that everyone instantly falls in love with.
Their compassion, concern, and care for one another, while also knowing exactly how to make the other feel completely safe and protected leaves you speechless. The more we talked with them and got to know them, the more we fell in love with the perfect image of fidelity and commitment they embodi. In almost ten years these two have went from acquaintances, to best friends, to husband + wife. Their story of commitment, grace, and eternal love is one that helps put everything into perspective for us.
We love these two. Simple as that. We're certain you will too. From our entire team, we are wishing Amanda+Andrew the very best from now until always!
So a few days ago we reached a pretty big milestone for ourselves - We made it 1,000 likes on Facebook! To commemorate the accomplishment we decided to pay tribute to one of the great, and our favorite, social media campaigns - with our own fun little spin!

These two are simply fantastic! When Jarron connected with us last fall and told us a little about his future bride and himself we knew that we absolutely would love spending the weekend capturing their South Asian, Muslim + Jewish infused wedding. In fact, Jarron said if their wedding sounded like a project we'd enjoy to let him know. Let's just say we were more than a little excited to pay witness to such a beautiful embodiment of Love.
Every wedding is a gorgeous personification of a couple's commitment to one another, and we truly are honored when couples who love our work invite us to share in their wedding celebrations, but this one was certainly one we will never forget. Witnessing not just these two pledging themselves to one another, but also witnessing two families of different cultures and faiths come together in love to celebrate was humbling and quite breathtaking.
We are honored to be a part of telling a good love story, and Samah+Jarron's is an absolutely amazing one! Show this beautiful couple some love!
Holiday dinners can get messy - we know! - but we have so much to be thankful for this time of year! From our wonderful team and our families, to the many stories we've told and the many more we are working on, today we are giving thanks!
Whether with your friends, your colleagues, or your family, remember what the meaning and purpose of today is. Looking back at all the good, the bad, and the interesting, remember to be thankful for the fact that we all get the chance to experience this amazing thing we call our story.
