Blake + Jasmine's Art Gallery Engagement Party

Really enjoyed getting to spend the evening with these two filming Blake Wisz Photography's proposal to the love of his life, Jasmine. The surprise party that he threw her to follow, with their closest family and friends gathered together to celebrate with them, was absolutely beautiful and so classy!

We've known Blake for a couple years now, and he's even been an actor for us in past productions we've made, so when he first started talking and posting pictures of this girl named "Jasmine", we knew there was something extra special about her; his face would simply light up when talking about her. Over the years we watched these two grow together, experiencing the highs of youth, as well as experiencing some of the more difficult seasons of life and loss. Through it all Jasmine and Blake have grown into a beautiful couple and we were so honored that Blake asked us to capture the evening for the both of them.

These two are great together and we can't wait for them to tie the knot this August- Congratulations Blake+Jasmine, couldn't be more happy or thrilled for you two!

A long way from "Home"

Zambi-To-Tell-The-Story-Documentary

It's been three weeks since I returned from Africa and I don't think there's been a day that's gone by since in which my heart hasn't thought about that place, the people, the culture. It weighs on me, certainly, but more so I miss the community, the love, the hope in the midst of struggle that exists there. In many ways I found a home in a place I never expected to find it.

It's curious, really, how quickly a place becomes a home for us. One minute your in a whole new land, both scared of the mysterious nature of the unknown, and enrapture with this since of adventure. Next thing you know something deep within you awakens, and all that once seemed to hold you back is gone. You're bolder, more out going. You smile at strangers you never would have before. You say words like "mulishani", and walk down roads and paths you never dreamed you'd see. Before you know it, you've rediscovered what it means to be "home".

Home is the sense of being completely content with the world as it is around you. It doesn't necessarily mean peace, it doesn't necessarily mean security. No, home is the understanding that you are not alone. The world around you can literally be collapsing and yet, home is the place where you know someone is there to walk alongside you through the brokenness. Home is "mulishani".

In my short few days there in Africa, on the outskirts of a city larger than my current place of residence, but one I had never heard of, I found home. I was welcomed into a community, a culture, and made to feel as if no matter how dark the world was around me, I would not be alone. I am not certain there will ever be a place such as this that I will find again. A place where hope sprung a new every morning, and every evening we celebrated the blessings we had in the midst of adversity.

.I've been back now for three weeks. Not a day goes by that I don't think of this place that I once explored and fell in love with. Working on this story has been such a journey, such a renewal of purpose. One thing has become clear to me, however; I came back, but I am now a long way from Home.

Hannah and Lawson: The Bunch Wedding Trailer

Getting to know the stories of our brides and grooms, and the love that brings them together, are always the most special and touching ones we have the pleasure of hearing and witnessing, and with Hannah and Lawson we absolutely fell in love with their story! Learning about their just-by-chance meeting and their focus on God and His provision for them both was so inspiring and beautiful.

Their wedding was a gorgeous expression and personification of their love for both each other, their family and friends, and their creator. There was a level of respect, intimacy, and selflessness displayed between these two that was so wonderful to witness and spoke so deeply to the personhood of Christ that they strive to imitate.

For the many years and chapters ahead, we wish you both the absolutely best; may your eyes be focused and set on God through all the seasons of life as husband and wife, cheers!

Happy Memorial Day!

We love us some super hero themed photo shoots! And in honor of today, it seemed fitting to dawn some Captain America colors. But more so, in honor of today, our team would like to take a moment and congratulate, thank, and pay respect to all of our family and friends, as well as the many others who have given their all in the line of duty so that today we could enjoy freedom. We can't thank you enough; you are the absolute true heros.

Nicole and Blake: The Brown Wedding Trailer

We absolutely love beautiful, intimate weddings, but even more we love weddings that are intimate, beautiful and fun! Blake and Nicole are two of the sweetest, most carefree, fun, and honestly authentic people you could meet. They are beyond a doubt the true perfect fit for one another and we had an amazing time sharing in their fall wedding day!

From the gorgeous secluded golf course venue, to the exquisite art and decorations that captured their personalities; from a breathtaking lace wedding gown, to of course their smiles, the only thing that was as beautiful were the amazing colors of a fall backdrop. We have loved getting to know these two, to help tell their story, and to share this unforgettable day with them, their family, and friends.

We are beyond excited for both Blake and Nicole and can't begin to express how happy we are for them on this new journey together as husband and wife!

We're turning THREE

Can't believe we'll be celebrating three years of filmmaking and storytelling this weekend! It still baffles me, every time i look back on where we start, to see just how blessed we have been, but more so, myself. To create the films and to tell the stories that I get to be a part of with such a team and family of artists is such an honor. One which truly humbles me.

I am not certain what I have done to deserve such a community, and to lead such a team, but regardless, I am thankful. I am thankful that we are able to live the dream, to tell the stories that we fall in love with, to be ridiculous, to be bold, to be us. I don't think I could ask for anything else. So with that, here's to a new year ahead for us, new adventures, and new moments to take our breath away.

From our family, to yours- thanks for watching!
